This has to be one of my favorite images of mine. A moody black and white image with strong leading lines. But the subject matter of the Grand Prismatic Spring with its thermophile bacterial mats in the hot water run off led to many compositions that day. I also like the sun reflecting in the water in the lower right. When I went to Yellowstone National Park the first time this was the feature I wanted to see the most. I have always been fascinated by the colorful bacteria that give the spring its rainbow colors. Ironic that my favorite picture of it is black and white!
