The Quiet Waterfall

This image was captured in the Avalon area of Patapsco State Park in Maryland. I took this very early on in my photographic career so this image has been with me for quite some time. I like the simplicity of this image. It tells a story, but does so quietly. I splashed around in the stream for quite some time trying to line up the perfect image. I got a few odd looks from the regulars to the trail who probably had never thought this little waterfall worthy of photography. But to me it was solid gold, I was so excited to be there and capture it.
