This is another one of my iconic images that garneres a lot of attention at art shows. This is a dead tree in the Atlantic Ocean. A long 6 second exposure allowed the ocean to blur out as the waves rolled in and out. A very painterly image (doubly so when printed on canvas) where everything is blurred due to the longer exposure except for the perfectly still tree. This is called a boneyard beach where the ocean has crept into the trees on the coast killing them with salt water. The skeletons of the trees stand tall in the ocean for quite some time before falling over. Taken at Botany Bay, South Carolina, this truly is one of my favorite images.
