It is funny, the same puddles I avoided stepping in on the way in on this trail were catching the sunset behind the clouds on the way out. And without those lit up puddles this image would be so much weaker. I love the snow in the pines, it was fairly warm and it was snowing very hard with huge flakes while I was driving into the park that day. I was glad for the warmth because this was a travel day and was my first evening in the park.
